Plasticien, décorateur, enseignant et coloriste, cet artiste installé dans la magnifique région d’Aubagne nous enchante grâce à ses paysages où se mêlent réalisme et déambulations imaginaires.
Jean-Louis Garcin travaille ainsi sur la mémoire que laisse un paysage, mettant l’accent sur les signes permanents et les variations que les gens entretiennent avec les éléments naturels : arbres, bosquets, points dominants… et nous raconte ensuite des histoires qui, si elles ne rentrent pas dans un ordre chronologique, appartiennent au joyeux chaos que forment nos souvenirs.
Chaque paysage constitue une situation unique qui nous invite plus qu’à une simple promenade mais à une véritable aventure, chaque tableau étant une respiration, un moment de vie qui s’expérimente avant même de se comprendre.
À noter — Jean-Louis Garcin est également le fondateur de l’atelier-galerie Dinosart à Marseille qui accompagne de manière semi-autonome la réalisation de projets artistiques.

Visual artist, decorator, teacher and colourist designer, this artist installed in the magnificent region of Aubagne enchants us thanks to his landscapes where realism and imaginary wanderings meddle.
Jean-Louis Garcin so works on the memory that leaves a landscape, putting the accent on the permanent signs and the variations people maintain with natural elements : trees, groves, dominant points… and then tells us stories which, if they do not go into a chronological order, belong to the merry chaos that form our memories.
Every landscape establishes a unique situation which invites us more to a simple walk but to a real adventure, every picture being a breath, one moment of life which is experimented even before being understood.
To note — Jean-Louis Garcin is also the founder of the workshop-gallery Dinosart in Marseille which accompanies in a semi-autonomous way the realization of artistic projects.
